In this classic mad-cap comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace, drama critic Mortimer Brewster’s engagement announcement is upended when he discovers a corpse in his elderly aunts’ window seat. Mortimer rushes to tell his aunts, Abby and Martha, before they stumble on the body themselves, only to learn that the two old women aren’t just aware of the dead man in their parlor, they killed him. Between his aunts’ penchant for poisoning wine, a brother who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, and another brother using plastic surgery to hide from the police — not to mention Mortimer’s own hesitancy about marriage — it’ll be a miracle if Mortimer makes it to his wedding.
The cast includes Janise Whelan as Abby Brewster; Gary Wetzel as the Rev. Harper/Lt. Rooney; Justin Rosenberger as Teddy Brewster; Erin DiNello as Officer Brophy; Stephanie McCartney as Officer Klein; Joan Crooks as Martha Brewster; Christina Munn as Elaine Harper; Mario Casciotta as Mortimer Brewster; Jeff Morse as Mr. Gibbs/Mr. Witherspoon; Dave Miller as Jonathan Brewster; Douglas D. Cooper as Dr. Einstein; and Linda Fink as Officer O’Hara.
Behind the scenes will be Director QuInton Laughman; Lighting Designer Bob McCleary; Stage Manager Vigil Dewhurst; and Producers Mathew Barninger and Art Rathell.
