Season Tickets, Memberships on sale in July
Mystery, music, & comedy
Season tickets and memberships will go on sale beginning July 1 for our 2024-25 season. The board of the Hanover Little Theatre has scheduled a season of music, laughs, and mystery. Here’s what you have to look forward to:
Interactive Murder Mystery: Dead to the Last Drop (Ken Jones)
Directed by: Shane Miller
SHOW DATES: Sept. 13-15, 19-22
A hilarious interactive murder mystery, the action takes place in a coffeehouse and bookstore called Café Caffeine. The crazy cast of characters leads the audience through a maze of funny twists and turns. Opportunities for audience and cast interaction reach a peak when the audience is allowed to vote on the ending with four possible killers and four possible endings. It’ll be a different show every night!
AUDITION DATES: June 9 and 10, 7 p.m.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Since this production includes an improvisational component, improvisation will be a part of the audition process, too. Auditioners will have to fill out an audition form and provide a list of scheduling conflicts. (Rehearsal schedules will be created based on cast availability.)
Musical: A Dog’s Life (Sean Grennan and Leah Okimoto)
Directed by: Jonathan Carbaugh
SHOW DATES: Nov. 15-17, 21-24
Joel doesn’t want a dog — he wants his girlfriend back, and she wants a dog. But when she refuses to get back together, Joel becomes the reluctant owner of Jack. Meanwhile, Big Dog wants to be adopted alone, but his only way out includes yippy Little Dog. For both of these pairs, hesitant relationships blossom into profound friendships. Blending comic and touching moments, this musical is an uplifting tale of companionship, our time on this earth, and simple, unconditional love.
AUDITION DATES: July 14 and 15, 7 p.m. Callbacks, if needed, July 16.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, a vocal selection, and movement (please dress comfortably with appropriate footwear). An accompanist will be provided; bring sheet music of 16–32 bars. Auditioners will have to fill out an audition form and provide a list of scheduling conflicts. (Rehearsal schedules will be created based on cast availability.)
Classic Comedy: Arsenic and Old Lace (Joseph Kesselring)
Directed by: Quinton Laughman

Drama critic Mortimer Brewster’s engagement announcement is upended when he discovers a corpse in his elderly aunts’ window seat. Mortimer rushes to tell his aunts, Abby and Martha, before they stumble upon the body themselves, only to learn that the two old women aren’t just aware of the dead man in their parlor, they killed him. Between his aunts’ penchant for poisoning wine, a brother who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, and another brother using plastic surgery to hide from the police — not to mention Mortimer’s own hesitancy about marriage — it’ll be a miracle if Mortimer makes it to his wedding.
