Hanover Little Theatre will partner with the Church of Satire Comedy Club to offer an Introduction to Improv class at the Church of Satire (106 Broadway) in downtown Hanover.
Come learn the basics of improv performance in a class which will include activities and games across six sessions that encourage you to think on your feet like never before.
Class sessions will take place at the Church of Satire from 4-5:30 p.m. on Sundays from June 30 through August 18 (no class on July 7 and August 4). There will be a showcase performance for friends and family on August 25 at 4 p.m.
The class will be taught by HLT Board member Brian Shea, who performs at the Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) and is the founder of Snacktown Improv Comedy (STIC). HLT board members Erin DiNello, a BIG performer, and Courtney McDougall, will assist.
Participants will have fun in a supportive atmosphere designed to uncover the potential of improv on the stage and in everyday life. Step into the world of make believe through simple and entertaining exercises. Space is limited, and the class is limited to those 18 and older.
