Director Sally Chase has announced the cast for Hanover Little Theatre’s upcoming production of Weekend Comedy. The show will run July 8-10 and 14-17.
Plans for a relaxing weekend go out the window in this comedy when two couples – one middle aged and the other in their 20s – reserve the same one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage for the same weekend. The two couples decide to give it a go and the generation gap leads to friction. In the end, the cramped quarters teaches each couple some lessons about their relationships.

Weekend Comedy will mark the seventh show where the theatre will raise funds for a local non-profit community partner. The partner for this show will be Friends of Codorus State Park, which is dedicated to restoring, preserving and improving the Codorus State Park and its surroundings by assisting in providing recreational and educational opportunities for current and future generations.
The theatre will donate $2 for every ticket sold to the Saturday, July 9 show to FOCSP. An anonymous patron will match that donation, generating $4 for every person attending that performance. Additionally, donations for FOCSP will be accepted at all seven performances of Weekend Comedy. Since inaugurating this program in November 2014, Hanover Little Theatre has donated $2,900 to a variety of local organizations.
Tickets will go on sale on June 6. Prices will be $12 with discounts available for students, seniors and groups. Online ticket sales are available around the clock through the theatre website.
The box office, located at 360 Blooming Grove Road, will be open for ticket sales on June 24 and July 2 from 10 a.m. to noon and June 25 and July 3 from noon to 2 p.m.
