The Friends of Codorus State Park (FOCSP) are dedicated to restoring, preserving and improving the Codorus State Park and its surroundings by assisting in providing recreational and educational opportunities for current and future generations. Hanover Little Theatre will raise money for this important group of volunteers during the production of Weekend Comedy, which has shows July 8-10 and 14-17.
This marks the seventh show where the theatre will raise funds for a local non-profit community partner. The theatre will donate $2 for every ticket sold to the Saturday, July 9 show to FOCSP. An anonymous patron will match that donation, generating $4 for every person attending that performance. Additionally, donations for FOCSP will be accepted at all seven performances of Weekend Comedy. Since inaugurating this program in November 2014, Hanover Little Theatre has donated $2,900 to a variety of local organizations.
The FOCSP have made physical improvements in the Park, have purchased numerous items in support of the Park’s operations and have covered the cost of many small needs/expenses for the Park Operations Manager and his staff in the last five years. Members of the group volunteer at the Park gift shop and support special events such as Codorus Blast and Halloween in the Park.
Tickets will go on sale for Weekend Comedy on June 6. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on July 8-9 and 14-16 as well as 2 p.m. matinees on July 10 and 17. Tickets are $12 with discounts available for students, seniors and groups.
The box office, located at 360 Blooming Grove Road, will be open for ticket sales on June 24 and July 2 from 10 a.m. to noon and June 25 and July 3 from noon to 2 p.m.
