Thank you to everyone who came and saw the recent performances of “Over the River and Through the Woods.” We sold out several shows and had wonderful audiences every night. Congratulations to director Jim Watson, assistant director Jeremy Slagle, and our amazing cast: Beau Bowden, Don Aumen, Jeff Baker, Anna Heckert, Phyllis Reinsfelder and Ann Watson.
We would like to offer a special thanks to two local businesses which helped us greatly in putting on the show. Wolf’s Furniture donated the use of several set pieces, and Rose’s Pizza and restaurant sponsored our wonderful (and tasty) Opening Night Reception. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of businesses like these.
Our next show won’t hit the stage until April, but we will still be very busy:
- In April, we will present another show from playwrights Michael and Susan Parker, the team which penned last season’s smash comedy hit “Sex Please, We’re Sixty.” Director Erin DiNello will hold auditions for “Sin, Sex and the C.I.A.” at 7 p.m. on January 26 and 27. The show features three male and four female characters. Show dates are April 3-6 and 10-12. Come audition for a spot in this laugh-out-loud farce.
- On Saturday, Dec. 14, HLT will have a table set up at Santa Bowl II, a fundraiser football game featuring the Hanover Rhinos held at Hanover Middle School. The event will benefit the Toys for Tots campaign, but will include local businesses offering Christmas gift ideas. Come get tickets and HLT memberships as a stocking stuffer for that someone special while supporting Hanover’s semi-pro football team.
- Plan your Valentine’s Day dinner now – HLT will present a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at the Hanover Elks on Saturday, Feb. 8. More details will be available soon, but you can count on lots of fun, good food and murder most foul.
