The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), directed by Sally Chase, featured three of HLT’s most uninhibited actors: Robert Brown, Duane Bull, and Jim Watson. They improved, flubbed their lines, and made Shakespeare spin in his grave as they presented their version of the bard’s plays. Mathew Barninger, Erin DiNello, and Brian Shea filled out the stage crew.
The Complete Works, developed by the Reduced Shakespeare Company, was first performed on June 19, 1987, at the Paramount Ranch in Agoura, Calif., and then at the 1987 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Directed by Sally Chase, the show ran Nov. 10–13 and 17–19, 2011.
